Job Responsibilities for Pricing Actuary, Life & Annuity:
Product Development and Pricing:
- Collaboratively design and develop new life and annuity products, working hand in hand with Marketing and Operations.
- Actively price these products.
- When pricing, choose and implement reinsurance where needed.
Implementation & Testing:
- Integrate new products into the admin system, which includes:
- Setting premiums.
- Assigning reserve and NFF factors.
- Allocating commissions to Operations.
- Diligently test to ensure factors are loaded accurately.
- Confirm that the product functions on the admin system as designed.
Product Analysis:
- Continually test the profitability of current products.
- Conduct Actual to Expected studies, focusing on persistency and mortality metrics. Perform sensitivity analyses.
- When required, adjust product pricing to optimize profitability.
Reinsurance Oversight:
- Regularly audit reinsurance agreements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Experience Requirements for Pricing Actuary, Life & Annuity:
- Hold an ASA designation or be close to achieving it.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in product pricing.
- Familiarity with MG-ALFA, the actuarial software we utilize for product pricing, is essential.
