Primary Responsibilities
This Actuarial Auditor job is a new role within the Actuarial Department and Insurance Group. So, please see below the Primary Responsibilities set forth for this new job.
- Establish effective and comprehensive auditing processes for life insurance, health
- (Medicare Supplement, Supplemental Health) and annuity lines of business.
- Manage, merge, query, and analyze large data sets.
- Communicate with 3rd party vendors in resolving issues.
- Organize and maintain audit documentation within an electronic filing system.
Actuarial Auditor Duties:
The duties for this new job within our Client are set forth below:
- Perform audits of transactions (e.g. commissions, surrenders, claims), identify issues, and resolve.
- Perform audits of administrative system values and calculations (e.g. reserves, cash values, due/deferred premiums), identify issues, and resolve.
- Audit various systems’ data to identify current and potential problems.
- Review and analyze large data sets: Answer questions and create visualizations. Document work and work processes to enable collaborative environment.
Skills Required:
This job is ideal for a Career Actuary or non-exam taking actuary who desires using their skillset in an audit function. The Client will consider candidates who are taking exams. Yet, the role is a critical and visible role within our Client’s Insurance Group.
- Auditing experience
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong math skills
- Data manipulation/mining experience
- College Graduate
- MS Windows, MS Excel, SQL, VBA, R or Python, experience working with different file formats. Moving data from one source to another.
- Ability to multi-task (i.e. work on multiple projects at the same time)
- Actuarial Auditor will be a Problem identifier; problem solver; organize/document to make easier next time and to collaborate.
