Summary

The individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of life and annuity insurance operations while also supporting the continued growth of the life and annuity business. In this role, the individual will provide strategic direction, lead operational teams, and ensure that all operational activities align with organizational objectives. Additionally, the ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the life and annuity industry, demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, and apply a strong analytical mindset to improve operational performance and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the daily operations of the life and annuity business while ensuring efficient workflows and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations professionals to foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement operational best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations and internal policies by conducting regular audits, reviews, and operational assessments.
    • Develop, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborate closely with underwriting, finance, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to support seamless operations and successful product delivery.
    • Lead and manage operational projects, including new product launches, system implementations, and platform upgrades.
    • Develop and manage departmental budgets while ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and operational efficiency.
    • Improve customer satisfaction by ensuring timely service delivery, operational responsiveness, and a strong customer-focused approach.
    • Analyze operational data and trends to identify risks, improve decision-making, and support strategic business initiatives.
    • Drive operational consistency and standardization across processes, procedures, and reporting functions.
    • Support organizational growth initiatives by aligning operational capabilities with evolving business objectives and market demands.

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of operations management experience within the life and annuity insurance industry.
    • Strong knowledge of life insurance and annuity products, regulatory environments, operational frameworks, and industry trends.
    • Proven leadership and team management experience with a demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence and process improvement.
    • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency with operational systems, reporting platforms, and data analysis tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong project management capabilities with experience leading operational initiatives and cross-functional efforts.

Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
    • Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
