Job Summary

Our Client seeks a highly motivated and experienced Service Advisor to join their growing team. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of comprehensive financial planning and investment services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-centric, and skilled at both relationship management and operational execution. You will work closely with the Lead Advisor and team to ensure an exceptional client experience while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, delivering white-glove service and timely follow-up.
  • Proactively manage client communications regarding service needs, account maintenance, and general inquiries.
  • Prepare for and attend client meetings with Lead Advisor; document and follow through on action items.
• Financial Plan Support
  • Assist in the implementation of financial plans, including investment changes, insurance coordination, estate plan updates, tax document requests, and more.
  • Coordinate with custodians, attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals to facilitate client needs.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance in client records (Redtail CRM, E-Money financial planning software, custodian platforms).
• Account Administration
  • Oversee the opening, funding, and maintenance of client accounts (IRAs, trusts, brokerage, etc.).
  • Process account transfers, distributions, contributions, and beneficiary updates.
  • Monitor client accounts for accuracy and flag opportunities or issues requiring advisor attention.
• Operational Efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance client service delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of custodial procedures, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Job Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a client service or advisor support role at a financial planning or wealth management firm.
• Deep understanding of financial planning concepts (investments, annuities, retirement, estate, insurance, tax concepts).
• Experience with custodial platforms (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing) and RedTail CRM system.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent related experience.
• Series 6 or 7 or Series 65, and State of Ohio Life & Health Insurance License.
• Experience using E-money financial planning software.
