  • Transformed an agency from a support entity to a profitable network, addressing major operational challenges such as carrier appointments, agency licensing, and compliance, while stabilizing relationships with carriers and brokers.
  • Played a pivotal role in establishing the agency's distinct identity and value proposition, separate from the parent insurance company.
  • As Vice President of National Sales, managed direct relationships with 14 Product Leaders across more than 20 primary product categories, and led a team comprising 8 direct reports and seven Regional Sales Managers covering all 50 states.
  • Collaborated with Product Leaders to launch targeted marketing initiatives, identified and developed new distribution partners, expanded current partnerships, revived dormant relationships, and represented the company at key national events and tradeshows.
  • Developed strategies to enhance product knowledge, assess field performance, and manage data effectively.
  • As the first Vice President of Underwriting, was responsible for the operations, growth, and profitability of three high-limit umbrella programs nationwide, codifying underwriting procedures, and leading the integration of four acquisitions.
  • Spearheaded initiatives in underwriting, pricing, binding, and policy issuance, coordinated with Reinsurers, and acted as the home office liaison for significant projects.
  • In earlier roles, established new territories, appointed agents, built submission pipelines, and focused on retaining existing accounts within the portfolio.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Science in Rhetoric and Communications and is an Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI).
  • Licensed as a Resident P&C in Iowa and holds Non-Resident and Excess & Surplus Licenses in all states.
