Senior Advanced Markets Specialist

Senior Advanced Markets Specialist job will take the lead in educating our Client’s advisor network on complex advanced markets cases. Hence deep specialized knowledge is required in this role. Yet, the ability to communicate and share knowledge will be the differentiator. Above all, the Senior Advanced Markets Specialist will partner with our Client’s advisors and internal teams to enhance their knowledge of advanced markets strategies. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth support to advisors on advanced topics including estate planning, tax planning business succession, executive compensation, and qualified plans (insurance funding strategies, life insurance products and features).
  • Furthermore, train and educate advisors to build knowledge in Advanced Markets so that they can effectively convey advanced planning recommendations to clients.
  • Provide advanced plan design strategies to optimize presented recommendations using all available resources.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with internal marketing teams and their advisors.
  • Also, partner with other internal areas including marketing, legal, and compliance as needed to bring a holistic and comprehensive view to the table.
  • Juggle multiple complex cases at a given time; quickly shifting from one client scenario to another.
  • Present to groups of advisors at various events on Advanced Markets.
  • Most noteworthy, provide direction to advanced markets and marketing teams on best practices; determine and develop a standardized approach to processing complex, corrective, and exception-based transactions in a timely and accurately manner.
  • Conduct continued training on advanced market issues and suitability topics.
  • Finally, develop advisor educational content in the form of webinars, articles and whitepapers.


  • 10 or more years’ experience working in the Financial Service industry.
  • Most noteworthy, expert level of Advanced markets included retirement Q/NQ plans, estate plans, business planning, tax code, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; can quickly develop relationships and inspire trust.
  • Also, expert level understanding of annuities & life insurance.
  • Broad and strong knowledge of financial services, planning and financial products outside of annuities and life insurance.
  • Problem solving; the ability to use judgment from broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues.
  • Confident, professional, and articulate in verbal and written communication.
  • Finally, strong organizational skills and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy while handling multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Also, excellent presentation and facilitation skills, both in creation and delivery.
  • CFP, CFA, CPA designation(s) are highly desirable.
